Fun at the Lake

Andy and I took Morgan to Blue Springs Lake on Sunday. The weather was in the 80's which was a welcome relief from last weeks heat. Morgan really enjoyed splashing around in the water and playing in the sand. We took a time out to enjoy grapes and watermelon for a snack. It was a lot of fun!

BIG Spoon!!

The other night Morgan wanted to use a really big spoon to enjoy her yogurt smoothie that I made for her. It was really cute watching her use such a large spoon! I was impressed how well she dipped the spoon into the bowl and then brought it up to her mouth. Just a reminder how independent and big she is getting! Where did my baby go??

Snow White

I am still enjoying my job as a princess! What girl doesn't like that title!! :)

This weekend I was Snow White! It was a great party for a sweet little girl turning 5. Morgan loves all my costumes and wigs. Below is a picture before the party and I'm holding my little princess.

Father's Day

We had a great Father's Day!

Andy is such a wonderful Dad! He loves spending time with Morgan! Morgan always lights up when ever her Daddy enters the room! She is turning into quite the Daddy's girl! I love the special relationship they have!

We then headed to the cemetery so I could have some time to visit my dad. It always makes me sad to go and visit him, but at the same time it is so peaceful there.

We went over to Andy's parents house for dinner! It was delicious!! Morgan's GiGi bought her some adorable fuzzy flip flops. Of course Morgan loves them! She's a shoe girl!

Morgan got a little dirty playing outside so Gigi rinsed Morgan's legs and feet in the sink. Morgan loved it and it turned into a fun play time of splashing a drinking water from the faucet.

Perfect Moment

Tonight as I was putting Morgan to bed after the normal routine of bath, brushing teeth, reading stories, and cuddling. I gave her a hug and kiss and told her goodnight. As I put her in the crib she looked at me and blew me a kiss and said "mmmaaaaaaa!" (That's her kiss sound.) It was so precious!! She has become quite cuddly and she loves to give hugs and kisses. She also blows kisses a lot too. But she had never blown me a kiss at bedtime. This is definitely a moment I will remember for ever!!!

Look Who's Cooking

Morgan now has a play kitchen! She is cooking up lots of tasty treats! Her favorite thing to cook is tasty plastic corn! YUM! :) I can't believe how much she plays with her kitchen each day. She loves pushing all the buttons and hearing the fun sounds of the stove, phone, microwave and oven.

Fuzzy Socks!

I know I posted on an early blog how Morgan loves to wear shoes. Well...now she also loves to wear socks. Early this week I had my fuzzy house socks on and Morgan let me know that she wanted to wear them. So I put them on her tiny feet. She was so excited to wear them. She had to wear them all day. I couldn't help but laugh at her! She is so cute!

Bubble Fun

We enjoyed dinner over at Jennifer and Todd's house. The food was yummy and we always enjoy hanging out with them. Morgan and James had a lot of fun together too! We had bubble time!! They enjoyed popping/chasing the bubbles. Todd gave the kids tennis shirts. They look so cute in their big t-shirts. I think we might have some future tennis stars on our hands!

Our Little Biker

Andy's birthday is tomorrow and he really wanted a bike seat for Morgan. I didn't want to get her a bike seat that rides behind her daddy. It isn't much fun starring at someones back. I researched online and found the perfect seat for Morgan...The Weeride. The seat is in front of the parent so the child can not only see everything going on you can actually interact with them while you ride. I also felt like this was a safer option compared to Morgan riding behind Andy. We also got Morgan her biking helmet. I wasn't sure what she would think of it...but she loves it. She sometimes wants to even keep it on after the bike ride is over.

I gave Andy this present 2 weeks ago. I couldn't wait and I knew he would love to use it right away. The bike seat is a hit at our house. We have been taking family bike rides just about everyday. Morgan absolutely LOVES...LOVES...LOVES her seat. She smile and talks during her rides. We have had a lot of neighbors asked about the seat. One of our neighbors is going to get one for her husband for Father's Day. I picked it up at Toys R Us in case anyone else is interested in getting one.

Water Baby!

Our neighborhood pool opened over the weekend. Morgan LOVES the water even though I thought it was pretty chilly. She and Andy had fun swimming. I was the photographer and chose only to get my feet in the cold water. We plan to go a lot of late mornings to the pool after Morgan's nap. That way we will stay out of the harsh afternoon sun.

Today when we went up to the pool we were all standing by the baby pool when little miss adventure just jumped right in. Andy quickly jumped in after her. It scared Andy and I, but not Morgan. When Andy pulled her up from the water she acted like it was no big deal. Maybe we have a future swimmer on our hands. I still can't believe she just jumped in. She has no fear!
