Family Birthday Party

Morgan enjoyed her family party over the weekend.  She requested cookie cake!  YUM!  I was so glad our families were able to help celebrate her birthday.  Morgan got so many wonderful gifts.  It's fun to see how much she plays on her own with her new stuff.  Her new toys have kept her busy for hours.  I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked.  I'm learning when you host a party it's hard to take lots of pictures.

Princess Party

Morgan had a princess party for her 4th birthday.  She wanted all her girl friends over to dress up and have fun with Sleeping Beauty!  The girls had a great time!  They danced, heard a story, played games, and then had princess make-up and hair sparkles.  They finished off the party with pizza and cupcakes.  What fun!!

Happy 4th Birthday!

Morgan Jane is 4 years old!  I still can't get over how big she has become.  She has done a lot of new things over the past year.  The biggest thing is this time last year she had just become a big sister.  Amazing how fast it has gone.  She is an incredible big sister!  She is so sweet to Mackenzie and loves teaching her new things.  This year was also a first for dance class, riding a horse, practicing riding a bike without training wheels and preschool.  She loves preschool so much!  Preschool has been great for her.  Morgan has a made a lot of friends and learned so much! 

Morgan you have such a loving and gentle spirit.  We love how you are so kind and compassionate.  I hope these are traits that stay with you as you grow.  We also love your imagination and silly side too.  You always make us laugh!  You are a true princess and love your jewelry, lip gloss, heels, and princess gowns.  You love telling me how "fancy" you look!

Morgan you are super smart!  It is amazing how you listen to every detail anyone says.  Many times your dad and I have to spell things out around you.  We are in trouble once you start figuring out the spelling of words.  You really enjoy learning and ask a lot of "why's" and "tell me more."  Your latest interest is learning to read.  Knowing your determination and desire to learn I am sure you will be reading before we know it.  You can already write every letter of the alphabet and love it when I spell out words for you to write.  You have pretty much mastered writing numbers too.  You know your address, including the city and state, your home phone number and my cell number.  I really love how you have learned many of the Catholic prayers at school this year.  I love hearing you recite them!

13 months!

You LOVE to climb onto everything!

• You've taken a few steps but aren't walking yet.  My bet has always been you will walk on Mother's Day.
• You climb onto everything!!
• You love signing "more" and have even said "more" a couple of times.
• You like to color with your sister...until you decide to eat the crayons. :)
• You are wearing 18-24 month clothes
• Still wearing a size 4 diaper.
• You are super social and love giving everyone your nose scrunchy smile.
• You are an excellent eater.  You will pretty much eat anything and I have to take the tray away or you would probably eat all day long.  You never seem full!
• I love that you are a great night sleeper and you sleep from 7:45-6:35 most days.  If you ever wake in the middle of the night (which isn't often) I can get you back to sleep in about 1 min. 
• You have 12 teeth and two more are about to poke through any day.
• You still love to read!  You also babble non-stop and have said a few more words beside just mama, dada, and wow.  I just don't count them until you say them a lot. :)
• You are ticklish under your arms
• You like to get into the pantry and get your own snacks.  You always want goldsfish crackers.
• You follow Morgan everywhere and constantly want to hug her or wrestle her.
• You are pretty mellow and happy all the time.
• You like take your baby wipes and wipe the floor or your tray.  Such a helpful girl!
• You can climb the rock wall of the swingset all by yourself.  You love being outside.
• You aren't a huge fan of your car seat right now.  You just want to be on the move!

I am sure I am forgetting a lot.  We love you to pieces!!  You are so much fun!!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter with our families and ate way too much.  Both our mama's made delicious food!  Morgan enjoyed two egg hunts!  We enjoyed dressing up and going to church.  We actually made the early service at 8am, since the girls were up by 6am!  The weather was great too!  It was such a nice day.

Easter playdate

We always enjoy our playdates with our play group.  I hosted the latest playdate.  We had an Easter egg hunt in the back yard on Good Friday.  The weather was perfect!  It's always fun getting everyone together!

School Egg Hunt

Morgan enjoyed her egg hunt at preschool the Tuesday before Easter.  They were able to hunt all their eggs right before it started raining.

90th Birthday

Happy 90th Birthday "Papa Farm!" (Morgan's name for my grandpa.)  Morgan and I took a road trip to visit my grandpa on his 90th birthday.  It was a short trip.  We left about 4:45am on Sunday, April 1st and we were back home by 4pm the next day.  The drive is 7 hours each way.  Morgan was a perfect car rider.  She was so excited to go with me.  She kept calling our trip..."Girl's Road Trip!"  Cute!  Andy stayed home with Mackenzie.  We figured 14 hrs. in a car over two days was too much for a one year old.  Morgan and I had a wonderful visit with my grandparents.  They are Morgan and Mackenzie's only living great-grandparents.  I am so glad Morgan got to have some special time with them.  She adores my grandpa, a.k.a. "Papa Farm."  I  hope he has many good years to come.  We look forward to my grandma's 90th birthday in November.
