11 Months!

My baby is almost a year old!

She was really fascinated by the "11" sticker I put on her onesie.

She loves to be outside!

Such a sweet face!

Hugs for her baby doll.

Mommy having a little photo shoot. :)

She wants to drink water just like her big sister.  Too bad she will have to stick with a sippy cup for now.

Mackenzie was doing her "SO BIG" with her arms! :)

Some of your highlights from the past month...
  • You have started sleeping through the night (most nights).  I kind of miss our snuggling in the middle of the night.  But, I am enjoying getting to sleep all night finally! :)
  • You have one if not two of your one year old molars in.
  • You still don't like your diaper or clothes changed...you are too busy to sit still.
  • You climb on or into everything!!
  • Some foods you've really enjoyed this month...tuna, black beans and tomatoes.
  • You love rubbing your sticky hands through your hair when you eat.
  • You talk all the time and love shouting and telling us all you are in the room.
  • You still haven't said "dada" more than maybe once or twice.  But, you are saying "mama" a lot more.
  • Your favorite word is "wow!"  You say it all the time.  I know you have no idea what it means, but it is soo cute to hear.
  • You follow your sister everywhere! (Whether she likes it or not)
  • You love to have me brush your teeth.
  • You go down easily for your late morning nap and usually sleep about 2 hours.
  • You really only want to take one nap a day.  You get so tired by late afternoon it's impossible to make it all the way to bed time.  You don't like your afternoon nap at all.  Most days we have to take you on a walk or drive to get you to take a short cat nap.  You always fall asleep fast once we are driving or taking a walk.
  • You love to wrestle.
  • You are my snuggle bug and love cuddling.
  • You are in a size 4 diaper and wear clothes ranging from 12 months-18 months.
  • You give the best sloppy kisses!
  • You still have such a happy and sweet personality!
Your mama is getting excited planning your first birthday.  It will be here way to quickly.  I love watching you grow and change, but I am sad how fast time is going by.  My baby is growing up way to fast!
We love our baby girl!

Community Helper

Morgan's preschool class had community helper day.  Of course, Morgan wanted to be just like her daddy...a firefighter!  It was fun to see all the kids dressed as helpers of our community.  I saw a doctor, nurse, teacher, baker, construction worker, and many more.  We appreciate Jennifer's mom, Holly, for letting us borrow this great firefighter costume.  I think Morgan is the cutest firefighter!!

Snow Day!

Best Friends!

First time in the snow!!!

Mackenzie fell asleep as Andy pulled her around our yard.  She then went inside to finish her nap.

Morgan loved playing in the snow!
We enjoyed our first accumulating snow on Monday, February 13th.  Last year we had so much snow it is crazy it took this long to finally get snow this year.
Morgan was super excited to get out and play!  Andy was off work that day so we made it family time out in the snow.  Mackenzie only lasted about 20 min. then she fell asleep on the sled. :)  She looked so big out in the snow.  Poor baby had to wear all the 2T snow gear we had which was a little big.  It will fit better next year.

Messy Face

I made some delicious pasta sauce the other night.  It is my favorite recipe.  We all enjoyed it with dinner, but I think Mackenzie gets the prize for the best face!
Love the "sauce" beard!!!

Next stop...bath tub! :)

Sister love!

My girls!

Love the "heart" on their bums!
We had a nice Valentine's Day!  Morgan had a lot of fun at her school party.  I really enjoy being the room parent and getting to plan the craft activity.  That night we went out for heart shaped pizza and Aunt Vicki was able to join us.  Love having special time with my family!

Double Take

Sometimes I can't believe how much Morgan and Mackenzie look alike as babies.  I notice this especially when they are wearing hats in pictures.  Below are some pictures for you to compare.  I put Mackenzie in the same hat and coat that Morgan wore to the park when she was the about the same age as Mackenzie.  Morgan's pictures were taken in January 2009 and Mackenzie's pictures were taken January 2012.

Strike a pose!

Morgan informed me at dinner the other night that she was a princess and I needed to take her picture so she could show me all her princess poses.  We love our "Princess Morgan!"

One box...endless fun!

My girls are lucky to have such a fun daddy!  It seems they are always doing something creative together.  The latest invention...turn the diaper box into a train ride around the house. :)  I thought it was hilarious to see them both squished in the box together.  They had a lot of fun!

Morgan is so strong!

Sister fun!

This is the life!

Feeling Crafty...

I have been feeling crafty and inspired lately thanks to Pinterest.  I can't help but find so many fun ideas for my home or great recipes to cook.  I love seeing all these crafty people create without spending a fortune.  One of my favorite finds is the pictures below.  Now the girls have a place for all their magnets instead of on my refrigerator doors.

This oil drip pan is from an auto parts store.  It was only $9.99!  I used velcro on the back of the pan so it would stick to the wall.  I got the velcro half price at Hobby Lobby.  The whole project came in around $13!  Can't beat that!

I didn't actually see this bow holder on Pinterest.  Though I am sure it is on there somewhere.  Seeing so many different craft ideas inspired me to make Morgan a new bow holder.  Once again I scored some great deals.  The letter "M", the gerber daisy and ribbon were all 50% off at Hobby Lobby.  I already had the pink paint.  The total for the project came in at $5.00!!
