Busy...Busy...Busy!

Here are some pictures of a typical day around our house. Morgan is on the go every moment she is awake. She is so observant and wants to explore everything she sees. Andy and I noticed this week she is turning into a big girl. Since she was one day old she never seemed happy with the fact she couldn't just get up and go. In fact on the first day we brought her home from the hospital she would roll to her side as I would change her diaper. The first few months we could see the frustration in her face because her body wouldn't let her do what she wanted...which was to move. Now that she is roaming the house so freely by crawling and standing she looks like she is finally happy with what her body is letting her do. Of course she now challenging herself to climb on top of furniture and many of our family members are betting she will be an early walker. Yes...she is our girl on the go! I don't know who is more tired at the end of the day Morgan or me. I wouldn't trade a single second of these moments for anything!

8 Months Old

It is hard to believe another month has gone by and our little girl is getting bigger and more independent by the day.

Here is a fun picture of our silly girl!! We are attempting to change Morgan out of her pj's which lately is a challenge because she wants to sit, stand, or crawl away. We feel like diaper and outfit changes have become a new Olympic sport in our household. You have about 30 seconds to take care of business before she takes off!!

The BEST Christmas Gift!

Andy and I had our favorite Christmas gift delivered back in April when our sweet Morgan was born. No other gift could top that!! :) We had a fun week with family and friends enjoying holiday traditions and new memories with Morgan. I figured she would just like the boxes and wrapping paper, but when we got home tonight Morgan loved playing with all her new toys. We even cleaned out her toy box and put away some of her "baby" toys. We had to make room for her new "big girl" toys!!

It was a special day and the three of us had a wonderful Christmas! We hope all of our family and friends enjoyed their day too!

Morgan wasn't sure what to think of the guy in the big red suit. She did like grabbing the soft white trim on his coat. Overall she did really well and I love the pictures how they are looking at each other...so sweet!

Look at me!

Morgan stood up in her crib for the first time yesterday!! We thought she was napping and then I heard a banging coming from her room. It sounded like she was kicking the side of her crib. (Which she often does.) When I went in her room, to my surprise, little Miss Morgan was standing in her crib. She was hitting the top of the rail with her hand. What a big smile she had on her face!! One thing about Morgan...she is so proud of every accomplishments!! We are so proud of our sweet little girl!!

I'm such a big girl!!

Andy got to work right away lowering the crib mattress. As Andy was lowering the crib mattress Morgan decided to have fun pulling out all of her books from her basket. Morgan loves books. We read around 15 books a day. Some days she can't get enough. Many times I will read her 5 or 6 books in a row before she is ready to move on to something else. She loves books with textures and peek-a-boo surprises. She also like to help turn the pages. Of course she loves to taste all of her books. I guess cardboard is tasty!!

Best Buddies!

James came over today for a play date! These two sure do like each other!! Morgan was all smiles when James came in the door. I think she has her first crush. It is so cute how they follow each other around. Today Morgan climbed on James to pull herself up. James was a good sport and didn't seem to mind at all. Maybe he is showing Morgan what a gentleman he is! :)

Our Big Girl!!

For those of you who have seen Morgan in action know she is not one to sit still for very long. :) Today was another milestone in her world. Morgan got from her belly, to her knees, and then to a standing position. She got no help from us. The only thing she needed was the fireplace to pull herself up. I got a couple of pictures of her in action! We are so proud of our big girl!! She is quite proud of herself!! Notice her big grin in the picture! :)

Puppy Love

Morgan loves Aunt Vicki's dog Lily. She always giggles and babbles at the site of her four legged friend. Morgan seems to love animals. She also enjoys seeing my mom's dog Bode. Morgan is in a difficult stage with animals because she wants to pull on their fur. I think she looks at the dogs as moving stuffed animals, unable to understand that they are real. We always keep and eye on her with the dogs. Luckily, Lily and Bode have always been very gentle with Morgan. They are going to be good buddies through the years!
