17 months!

Drinking out of Morgan's water bottle at soccer practice.

Relaxing one morning and watching her favorite show..."Doc McStuffins!"

At her first wedding reception with full of crackers! :)

Our busy bee continues to keep on our toes and laughing all day long.  She is in "that" stage.  You know the one...she is adorable one minute saying or doing the cutest thing and the next minute she is climbing on the chairs getting a marker and drawing on her tummy.  Never a dull moment! :)

  • You love to play peek-a-boo.
  • You are adorable when you blow kisses at everyone you meet!
  • You make a tiger sound and move your hand up and down at the same time like they are your claws.
  • You say "cheese" to the camera or if you want to eat cheese.
  • You think you are so big and try to open the fridge by yourself to get your sippy cup of milk.
  • You have tons of scrapes and scabs. :(  You are constantly falling when we play outside.
  • You love wrestling your big sister and always want to knock her down.
  • You grab your diaper or try and take it off when you have wet.
  • You are a great at playing independently.
  • You LOVE TV!  I have to be careful and not let you watch too much.
  • Book worm...sometimes you sit in your room for 20-30 min. reading to yourself.
  • Shoes!  You love trying to put your shoes on all by yourself.
  • You want to brush your teeth about 5 times a day.
  • You are either super content or very grumpy during car rides.  There's no in between.
  • You have become challenging in stores lately.  You don't want to sit in the cart too long.  Mommy has to shop for groceries fast!! ;)
  • You are a pretty big mama's girl right now.  You are unsure of people you don't know or don't see often.
  • You are such a cuddle bug.  Whenever I carry you I love how you constantly put your head on my shoulder.
  • Dare devil!  You can easily climb up on to the fort of the swing set.  You have no fear!!!
  • You love to dance and sing!
  • You still go down for naps and bedtime so easily and you're a great sleeper.  You love getting up at 6am on the dot each morning...no matter what time you go down for bed.
  • I love your crazy hair!  Lately it will stick up in different spots depending on the day.  You refuse to wear bows in your hair.
  • Size 5 shoe, size 4 diaper, and 24 month/ 2T clothes
  • We love watching your easy going, independent, and fun loving personality develop!
We love you so much sweet girl!

Fancy Girl!

Morgan told me she got all dressed up to go to the pretend movies tonight.  She looked fancy!

Sister Love

Best friends in their matching "Big Sister/Little Sister" shirts.  Morgan insisted they also wear their "Big Sister/Little Sister" hair bows too.  Mackenzie was good enough to keep the bow in for the pictures and then promptly took it off and threw it on the ground. :)

Pre-K

Morgan started her first day of Pre-K today!  I can't believe she will be in Kindergarten next year.  Time flies!  She has her same preschool teacher that she had last year.  We love Mrs. Howerton and are so glad Morgan will be learning from her again this year.  The theme this year is "Under the Big Top!"  Her room is all decked out in a circus theme.  It looks like a lot of fun in there.  My favorite part is the giant rainbow parachute on the ceiling.  It makes you feel that you are really in a circus tent.  Morgan will go to Pre-K 3 days a week for 3 hours each day.  We know she is going to have a great year!!!!

My big Pre-K girl!!

Soccer Girl!

Morgan's excited to start her fall soccer season.  She loved her first practice tonight.  She did great running and dribbling the soccer ball.  We can't wait for the first game!
Keeping her eye on the ball.

Mackenzie wishes she was big enough to play on the team. :)

Great job Morgan!

Eye Update

Morgan went to her 3 month follow up appointment today.  Her eyes are looking good!  In fact, we don't have to go back to the eye doctor for 6 months!  Yea!!!
Her vision has remained the same so she is still slightly far-sided and will continue to wear glasses.  The good news is we are now able to get rid of the bi-focal on her glasses...thank goodness!  She will be much happier without it.  We are so thankful everything is looking good.  Continuing to pray that her eyes stay healthy and straight.

Chocolate Tour

We enjoyed going to Crown Center last weeks to "Chips Chocolate Factory."  We got to watch demonstrations of how they make their delicious fudge.  The girls loved watching them throw warm fudge into the air.  The best part...taste testing!  We got to try a lot of chocolate!  No complaints here! :)

We then heading to the dinosaur exhibit.  The girls had fun running around and using their imaginations.  Finally, we had lunch out by the fountains.  It was a beautiful day!  A nice change from the heat we have had all summer.

Play date fun!

The "big" girls putting on make-up!

The "little" girls playing house. :)

Four sweet and silly girls!!
We loved playing with Carly and Kate over the summer!  It was great having them at all of our play group play dates.  Carly is only 9 days younger than Morgan and Kate is 6 weeks older than Mackenzie.  I love how the girls are so close in age.  We were glad they came over to play before Angela's summer break was over.  We can't wait to see them again on holiday breaks. :)

Just for fun

Yes, that is my 16 month old riding in a toy baby stroller.  She got in all by herself, so her big sis decided to take her for a walk. :)

Sweet baby!  Mackenzie has to sleep with her little Elmo and big monkey.  I love how she always is cuddling the monkey while she sleeps.

Cousin's enjoying a tasting treat!

Buddies!  Blake (2 yrs.) and Mackenzie hanging out during a play date at Jennifer's.  I love how they both are just hanging out with not much on.  Silly kids!
