21 Months

Each month goes by so fast! We are having so much fun everyday! :)

Morgan this is what you are doing at 21 months...

  • We are impressed by your new appetite. You have become a really good eater this month and you love it when I fix lemon pepper tilapia!
  • You are into details...you now set up the furniture and people in your little school house and move the people in and out of the doors.
  • Your pink blanket is still your favorite item to sleep with and take with you wherever we go and now you have a second larger blanket you also drag everywhere around the house .
  • You love Clifford, Curious George and Elmo. You spot them in ever book or on various items when we are out at stores.
  • You can now recognize and say the sounds for the letters...A,B,C,D,H,K,L,M,O,R,T.
  • You love doing art projects.
  • We can hardly keep you inside even with the chilly temperatures you love to get all bundled up and play outside for hours. You cry when it is time to go inside!
  • One of your favorite things is to pull up a chair to the sink and help wash dishes.
  • You love to sort your toys and put them in bags or containers.
  • One of your favorite things to do is play hide and seek in the house with Mommy and Daddy!
  • You are Mommy's shadow and follow me around the house and you want to help me do anything that I am doing. From cooking, doing laundry, or even sending an email...you like to be involved in every step of the process. :)

Sledding!

Andy took Morgan sledding a few times last week. She loved it!! In fact, whenever it was time to come inside she cried and wanted to stay out longer! :)
This picture cracks me up! You can't even see Morgan's face...just her eyes. She liked having her face covered. Silly girl!

Four Years

My heart has been heavy today as another year goes by without my Dad. I have been starring out the window a lot thinking about how beautiful and peaceful the snow is outside. It also snowed four years ago today. I continue to think about the gift my Dad left for me as he went to be with God. I don't even know if he realized how powerful the gift would be. Or how I use the gift in times that I feel tired and run down. Did he know the gift would make my marriage incredibly strong? Did he know it would make me a better mother? I wonder if he knew the gift continues to make me work to be a better person.

It is the gift of... "Every Day Counts!" Those three words are forever in my brain. I try to choose happiness each day. There isn't a day that goes by without lots of hugs, kisses, laughter, and I love you's in our home. What a perfect gift my Dad has given me! I know he is smiling down on me. I love you Dad!

I could go on for hours and type until my hands hurt with memories of my Dad. But tonight, I'm just sad. Yea, it still hurts after four years. It probably always will...and that's okay. The memories I think about and the old pictures I look through are comforting and I remember that he isn't really gone, but just a prayer away.

A picture of me about 10 months old, having a comfy nap on my Dad.

*Please do me a favor...remind those you love to get a colonoscopy if they are 50 years or older. It can truly save their lives!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!!!!

Hope everyone's New Year is fabulous! Cheers to good health and happiness all year!

Morgan has had such a busy few weeks with the holidays! I caught her asleep in her chair a few days ago. One minute she was playing with her toys the next minute she had climbed in her chair, pulled the blanket up on herself and fallen asleep. Doesn't she look cozy! Too cute! I hope everyone has a restful weekend after all your holiday fun!

Snow Much Fun!

We've have been outside almost everyday playing in the snow since the huge snow storm on Christmas Eve/Christmas morning. Morgan has had lots of fun!! She discovered that you can eat snow. She enjoyed licking the snow off her gloves! :)

Andy built Morgan her very own igloo!
