Morgan's 3!

Happy 3rd Birthday to our sweet Morgan Jane! You bring us so much joy and I can't believe how three years have already gone by. The past year you have transformed into such a big girl and we are so proud of the little girl you are. We can't wait to see all the wonderful things you discover over the next year. In the fall you will start preschool and though it will be so hard for your mama to let you go I know you will excel.

Some of your big moments this year...
You sleep in a big girl bed (twin bed) and have a beautiful room with lots of "pink" in it. You became potty trained right after Christmas and it was so much easier than your mommy ever thought it would be. You had your first dental visit...no cavities! We went on our first big road trip with you all the way to Austin, TX to visit cousin Blake and Abigail. You had so much fun and you were an excellent traveler.
Your vocabulary has flourished. You say things such big words now and I love our conversations. You have started to write letters on your own...you now can write the word "HI!" You love to sing, dance, and go on adventures around our house We make shadow puppets at night with your flash light before bed. It has become a favorite part of our night time routine.You ONLY let Mommy put you down for bedtime and nap time. It is our special time to read, pray, and sing together. Plus I love all the cuddling!! :)You are excellent sitting through the hour long mass at church. We can easily take you to restaurants, grocery store, and running errands. We are lucky at how well behaved you are. You love to play "let's make a deal"...always asking for two more minutes to play this or do that
I love that you still take a 2 hour nap daily! You tell me everyday that you don't want to take a nap, but you always fall asleep within 5 minutes.
You are really athletic. You can hop on one foot for a long time, play hopscotch, gallop, and you run really fast.
You love all your activities...soccer, music class, and story time at the library are your favorites. You are a kind friend. You have great manners. Last month you became a big sister! You are best big sister and a great helper!

Our sweet Mackenzie,

You are one month old today! It is hard to believe how fast the month has gone by. Here is what you've been up too...

• Your still a snuggle bug and your favorite place to nap is in someones arms.


• You hate your pack n' play and it's made the night time pretty hard around our house. :(


• You are now blowing bubbles and you have even cooed a few times. It is the sweetest sound.


• You still wear newborn diapers.


• You are wearing newborn clothes and starting to wear some 0-3 month outfits.


• I've notice some of your newborn hair is starting to fall out.


• You constantly smile in your sleep. I hope it means you are having happy dreams!


• You have great head control.


• You already show how strong you are. You love to grasp our fingers tightly.


• You still look a lot like your big sister as a newborn. You have a lot of the same facial expressions.


• You have struggled with tummy issues this month. It breaks my heart to see you in pain and I am hoping we have started figuring it out. You also started taking acid reflex medicine. We hope it helps you to feel better. I get sad hearing your raspy, wheezing/cough cry.


• We love you to pieces and you make our family complete! :)
  

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! We had a nice day with our family. We went to my mom's for lunch and Andy's parents for dinner. Andy had to work and we missed him. Morgan had a fun day!

2 week check-up

Mackenzie had her two week check up. Her weight...8lbs. 2 oz. (38th%)...her birth weight was 7 lbs. 14 oz. Her height...22 inches (93%) Her head...36.8 cm (66%) She is doing great and I already feel like she has gotten so big in just two weeks. She's still wearing newborn clothes and diapers. The doctor said she has great head control for a two week old. We are so pleased she is growing well!

Mommy's Helper

Morgan wanted to help me with the baby. She ironed all the baby's burp cloths and blankets. She is such a big helper! :)

Biker girl

Morgan loves riding her bike! We are so glad that the weather is getting nicer so she can spend more time outside. She has become quite good at riding...and is really proud of herself. We are proud of you too Morgan! :)

One Week Old

Our sweet Mackenzie is already a week old! So far she has a pretty relaxed personality and has been an excellent sleeper. Each night Mackenzie goes down for bed and only wakes twice to eat and then goes back to sleep. She prefers to have her mama hold her at bedtime so we are working on her sleeping in the pack n play next to our bed. She is such a snuggle bug that I don't mind holdig her. She fits into our family perfectly and we can't imagine our lives without her!
