Sunshine + Pool = Summer Fun!

I already know how we will be spending our summer...in the water! This week we have been hanging out everyday in our backyard in Morgan's little pool. Well today our neighborhood pool opened! YEA! Morgan got to go twice to the pool today. Once late morning and then again early evening. She had a blast! In fact, she played so hard she was in bed by 7pm! I love how excited she is about swimming. We are going to have a great summer!

A friend of Andy's let us borrow his Little Tike's blow up bounce house. Morgan LOVED it! She jumped...jumped...and jumped as much as she possibly could for the couple of days we borrowed it.

A special visit

We were thrilled to get a day to visit with my friend Kimberly and her son Nicholas. Kimberly and I went to college together and she now lives in Atlanta, GA. The last time we saw each other was at her wedding almost 4 years ago. We have kept in contact over the years and I was so glad when she finally made the trip to KC to visit her sister.

We set up a play date with Kat and Cheryl so all our kids could play together and we could catch up. Thanks to Cheryl for hosting the event! It was great to see Kimberly and her little guy! We are thrilled for Kimberly and her husband Shawn...this fall they will be welcoming a little girl into their family! :)

Let's Play Pretend!

Morgan loves to play pretend. She is always wanting to dress up in hats, shoes, necklaces, and wear just about whatever she can find.

Firefighter Morgan! Notice the tiny ladder she's trying to climb. The long bean bag snake we usually use to keep the draft out from our downstairs door. She is using it as her hose. She has quite the imagination!!

This is her latest outfit that she pretends to shop in...hat, purse, and slippers are a must. We have created a grocery store for Morgan in our basement. She loves to shop for food and pay at the cash register she got for her b-day.

Birthday Party

Last Saturday (May 1st) we had Morgan's birthday party. We had a nice time with all of our family and our good friends the Wilson's. I was hoping to get pictures up sooner, but our computer got a virus. After an expensive computer bill we are now up and running again.

It was supposed to be a rainy afternoon, but right as Morgan's party started the dark clouds cleared out and we had warm sunshine. I was really thankful for the good weather. The kids had so much fun playing outside it was hard to get them inside for presents and cake. :) It was a great day!

We did a jungle theme for Morgan's birthday. She loves animals so it was a perfect!

2 Year Doctor Appt.

We took Morgan to her 2 year old well check up. We love our doctor and always enjoy visiting with her at Morgan's appointments. We were all happy that she didn't need any shots this time around and won't again for a few years. We feel very blessed to have a healthy girl!
