More Beach Pictures...

We got pictures taken of our family on our beach vacation. The best time to take pictures is around 7pm or after as the sun is setting. It was a gorgeous evening. Poor Morgan was really tired from her day and wasn't wanting to smile a lot for the camera. Usually she is all about pictures. She did a good job, but it was hard to get her to smile. Oh well...life with a toddler!

Beach Vacation

We spent a wonderful week in Gulf Shores, AL with my mom, my sisters, and their families. The weather was sunny and hot the whole week. The girls did great on our 15 hour drive. I was nervous with a 3 year old and a 3 month old being stuck in the car for two full days down to the beach and then two days back. The drive went so smooth and both girls were excellent travelers.

Morgan had so much fun playing on the beach. If you ask her she will tell you all about how she loved jumping in the waves, building sand castles, seeing a baby crab, watching a fish jump in the water, and seeing a dolphin. She also loved having her cousins to play with each day. Our beach house was great and the complex also had a pool. We spent our mornings on the beach and in the late afternoon we went to the pool. Andy and I even got a walk in without children one evening which was nice. We appreciate my mom getting the house for us to enjoy! We can't wait to take the kids back in a few years. Mackenzie got to put her toes in the ocean, but the rest of the time she was with me either in the shade or at the house staying cool.

Great nights sleep

Mackenzie you slept all night last night!! We are so proud of you. You ate at 9pm and went to bed and slept until 5:30 in the morning. After I fed you, you went back to sleep until 7:15. I hope we have a lot more nights like this! :)

3 Months

Mackenzie your 3 months old! You are such a smiley and happy baby! You love to talk and sometimes will carry on a conversation with yourself or others for long periods of time. I guess you have a lot to say! You love watching your Mommy, Daddy, and sister move around the room. You enjoy chewing on your hands and fingers. Last week you started holding small toys for a few moments at a time. You love holding onto burp clothes and snuggling them on your face. Your giggle is adorable! We call you our chunky monkey...I love your rolls!! You love to eat and you can hardly stand to go past the three hour mark before you are hungry again. You are sleeping well in your crib. You usually wake once in the night to eat. The longest you have gone at night without eating is 6 hours. You wake up so happy and content each morning. I am always greeted by your huge smile and kicking legs. You aren't showing interest in rolling over right now. You are still a good napper, but you have started fighting your naps. Once we get you to sleep you nap well. You love taking walks in the Baby Bjorn. I think it is because you enjoy facing out and looking around. Your big sister loves playing peek-a-boo with you. I can't wait until you are big enough to play it back. You are in size 2 diapers and wearing 3 month clothes and some 3-6 month outfits too.

We love you soooo much!!!

First Giggle

Sweet Mackenzie~
You have been smiling up a storm. Today when you were smiling and cooing at me you giggled three times in a row. I was excited that your Daddy and big sister were right there to enjoy the special moment. I love hearing your laugh! I can't think of a better sound to fill our house than my two girls laughing! :)

2 Month Doctor Visit

Mackenzie went for her two month check-up. She has become a great eater which is easily noticed by her weight gain over the past month. :)

Weight 12 lbs (70%)

Mackenzie was showing off and trying to chat with the doctor. She said a lot of "ooh's and ahh's," as well as showing her how strong she is. Dr. Henschel said Mackenzie is "just perfect!" We couldn't agree more!
