17 Months!

Morgan,
Yesterday you turned 17 months old! You are a busy...busy girl these days!
  • You love nothing better than to run and play outside.
  • You have learned how to jump!!
  • Our little monkey...now you like climbing over the backside of the couch...Yikes!
  • We can now get your hair into pig tails. It is adorable!! Looking at my old baby pictures I noticed you have the same hair as me! :)
  • You are saying more words...apple, GiGi, wow, bubbles, balloon, back, bug
  • You know 8 of your body parts.
  • You love to play pretend with your little people and stuffed animals...you carry on conversations with them.
  • You enjoy brushing your mommy's hair.
  • You do the actions to "If Your Happy and You Know It," "Itsy Bitsy Spider," Patty Cake," and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star."
  • You love to brush your teeth every morning and night.
  • You love to dance...dance...dance!
  • You have mastered using a fork and spoon, but still prefer to use your hands when you eat.
  • You try your hardest to put your socks, shoes, and pants on yourself. You still need help...which you don't always like.
  • You love hugging your friends!
  • You fold your hands and pray with us at dinner each night.
  • You are working on your eye teeth right now...they are causing you a lot of pain the past 2 weeks. :(
  • You are still an early riser...around 5am every morning. Mommy is looking forward to the day when you sleep in until 6 or 7. :)
  • You go to sleep every night perfect! I think it is because you are so tired...you play so hard each day!

Love and hugs to our sweet girl! Love, Mommy and Daddy

The Farm

Two weeks ago we went to my grandparents farm in Nebraska. I took a ton of pictures so it has taken me awhile to go through them all. On our way to and from the farm we stopped to see Andy's good friend Heath and his family. His house is just about half way in our trip so it was a perfect stop to let Morgan get out and play with their children Brooks and Boston. We also enjoyed visiting with Heath and Mikhaela.

Morgan had such a fun time at the farm. She had a blast running around in all the open space. I really enjoyed visiting with my grandparents. They loved seeing how Morgan had grown since the last time they saw her. We can't wait to go back!

Fun with Gracie

Morgan's friend Gracie came over to play yesterday. The girls had a lot of fun with sidewalk chalk and playing outside. Lindsey and I noticed that Gracie and Morgan are starting to really play together and not just on their own anymore. They are such big girls!! :)
Big hugs!
Making grass angels. :)
Cute Gracie!
We had to put a Hello Kitty band aid on Morgan's boo-boo!
Strike a pose!

Pig Tails

Here is our little Cheerleader on Sunday with her first pig tails! She looked so cute! Unfortunately the pig tails lasted only 5 minutes and then she decided to take one of them out.
Sooo cute!
We taught her to do the touch down sign!

Little Monkey

Morgan loves to climb everything! She has no fear!

She loves her swingset and climbs all over it!

Mowing with Daddy

Before everyone freaks out...Andy is not really mowing in the pictures! His mower is off and Morgan mimics her Daddy as they move their mowers around the driveway and yard. After a few minutes Morgan lost interest and we went and played on the swing set so Andy could actually mow.

Daddy's little side kick

"Daddy, I'll help you get the yard mowed faster!"

Mowing is hard work!

Make sure I check the mowers oil and gas...everything looks good!

Shaggy

Morgan's hair is looking quite shaggy these days! Yes...I fix it daily, even though in most pictures her hair looks neglected! I try to put her hair in bows or clips and they last for awhile, but usually end up on the floor multiple times throughout the day. I have also noticed if Morgan doesn't get her way she immediately pulls her clips out of her hair and throws them on the ground. I guess it is her way of saying...ha...ha...mommy! :)
I am trying to be patient as her bangs grow out. You will have to be patient too as you see all of her pictures with her hair in her face.
