Weekend

We went to the lake this weekend and had a lot of fun. It was a lot harder to get pictures now that I have two kids when we go to the lake. Most of these are very random. I'm disappointed I didn't have my camera when Morgan fished with her "Dora" fishing pole that GiGi and Papa got her. The worst part...she caught her first fish on her first try. I will definitely take my camera down to the dock on our next visit.

I love her face here...so sweet!
Dressing up and dancing!

Someone is tired! I love how she is sleeping...silly girl!
This was Mackenzie's first trip to the lake. She was such a good girl!

Heading out to watch her big sister fish!

2 Months!

Our little Mackenzie is already two months old!! You are smiling so much lately. I love seeing your smile every morning. It is a great way to start the day.

You are now finally sleeping in your crib all night!! You still wake a couple times a night to eat. I am hoping you will start going longer without eating to give your mama more time to sleep at night. I love that I can put you awake in your crib and you put yourself back to sleep after each night feeding. You are also wanting to roll over so badly. I watch you roll on your side and scoot around your crib. :)
You love "talking" to yourself and to others. I think you are going to be quite social. Many times I catch you cooing and smiling to the ceiling fan as you lay on your blanket. You are a great eater and a wonderful napper. You enjoy most naps on mommy or in your swing. You have come such a long way from a month ago. We have a lot less crying "episodes" around our house and you calm down quickly when your upset. Mommy is thankful for the acid reflex medicine and that it's making you feel better. I know you are going to continue to change daily. I want to enjoy every moment! We love you to pieces!!!

I love your bright eyes and long eye lashes. I could stare into those sweet eyes all day!

You love moving your arms and legs. Stretching out on a blanket is one of your favorite activities.

You now have a roll (or two) on your upper legs. Love it!

Mackenzie's Baptism

Mackenzie Marie was baptized into the Catholic Church on May 21st. It was a special evening for us. I love that not only were my girls baptized at St. John's, but I was too. Andy and I also got married here. Both Morgan and Mackenzie wore my baptismal gown. I love making traditions with my family. I hope one day their daughters will wear the gown too. We chose Holli and John to be Mackenzie's God parents. We know they will be a good Catholic example to her as she grows up.

Deacon Doug getting ready to pour the baptismal water on Mackenzie's head. She really liked the water poured on her.

John and Holli...Mackenzie's God parents.

Look alike

My girls look so much alike as babies! I wonder if that will continue as Mackenzie grows. :)

Morgan's first bath.

Mackenzie enjoying her bath.

3 year stats

I forgot to put Morgan's 3 year doctor check-up on the blog. She enjoyed going to the doctor, but she didn't want to put the little gown on for the check-up. In true Morgan fashion she preferred to just sit there in her underwear. She also had to get a shot at the end of the visit. Her tears broke my heart. She had to let everyone know that day that she got a shot and it made her cry.
Weight... 30 lbs. (44%)
Height... 38 inches (67%)
We are so blessed to have a healthy 3 year old!

Soccer

Morgan is playing soccer again! She loves it! Last year she was in a class where parents participated too. This time she is playing with no parent participation. She is doing great listening to the coach and following directions. I love watching her run and kick the ball!

Smile

Mackenzie smiled at me for the first time last week. I was so excited to get her first smile on camera. It was on the day she turned six weeks old. We have been seeing more smiles each day this week. It was such a sweet moment!

Morgan insisted that Mackenzie wanted a story read to her in the baby bed. :)

Bath Time

Mackenzie LOVES her bath time! She has never cried. I look forward to the day when Morgan and Mackenzie can take baths together. They will have so much fun!
