22 Months

Morgan is growing like a weed! Not only do I want warm weather because I am sick of the cold, but Morgan is growing out of her winter clothes. Happy 22 months Morgan!
  • You weigh right around 25 lbs.

  • Your foot has grown this month and you are just about ready to wear size 6 shoes.

  • Starting to wear 2T clothing.

  • The 2 year old molars are working their way in. You now have your top two and your bottom left one is trying to break through.

  • You had your first tantrum last week. You didn't want to take your shoes off. I forget how much you still love shoes.

  • Started to sing your ABC's. Of course, the letters are mixed up and you do more humming to the tune then signing the actual letters...it's cute.

  • You still love the alphabet and now point at letters you see in books, on people's shirts, at the store etc. and you say either the letter or it's sound. You now can identify all 26 letters and you know all their sounds!

  • Showing an interest in numbers. You can identify some numbers and are working hard to show with you fingers the numbers 1-5. You love pointing out numbers in books.

  • Your verbal skills have come along way in the past month. You are saying a lot of new words. You still love to make up baby signs. You recently made up a sign for hungry...even though you know how to say the word snack. :)

  • You love taking off your diaper and running through the house naked!

  • Whenever you are around other children you are great at sharing toys.

  • You LOVE babies!!

  • Still a great napper and you have become a much better sleeper at night. YEAH!

  • Your toddler independence has really shown over the past few weeks. You definitely have a stubborn side. (I think it is from both your Mommy and Daddy!)

  • You love to read!

Morgan, it so much fun to see what you will learn each day! Life is so much fun with you! :)

Swim Lessons

Our little fish loves going to swim lessons. We've been going for a few weeks now and next week is our last week. Everyday Morgan asks to go swimming. She gets so excited when we pull up in the parking lot for our lesson. She's doing great too! Her favorite part is jumping in the pool into my arms. Of course, she loves free time at the end of class when she can go down the slide and do her own thing. James is taking the swim class with us. Morgan loves having her BFF in the pool with her! Swimming is definitely getting us in the mood for warm weather!! I have a feeling these two kiddos will be swimming all summer long!

Painted Toes

Morgan wanted her toes painted after she watched me paint my toe nails yesterday. It's fun having a girl!! :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope everyone had a great day with those they love! We had a great weekend! Andy surprised with giant chocolate covered strawberries! They were delicious!! We went out on a date tonight while my mom watched Morgan. It was nice having time with just the two of us. Morgan got Valentine balloons from her Aunt Vicki and an adorable book about a monster who loves to give kisses from Gigi and Papa Joe. I got Morgan a Valentine's book too...but of course I gave it to her a month ago right after I bought it. :)

Andy and I can't even put into words the love we have for our sweet Morgan! And I have the
most wonderful and loving husband...I am truly blessed! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Having fun reading the book from Papa Joe and GiGi. Morgan is so lucky to have such an amazing Daddy!

Mommy and her snuggle bug! She gave me a big smooch after this picture was taken...I love it!

Sweet Hearts!

Our tradition continues...

Jennifer and I got the kids picture taken a few weeks ago for our annual Valentine picture. The kids did great! Of course James was Mr. Mellow...walked right in, all smiles and was ready for his close up. Morgan was more unsure of the situation...I figured she would be. She is not a fan of going to photo studios to get her picture taken. I brought reinforcements. I found adorable lollipops that I thought would be great as props in their picture. Plus...I knew Morgan would do anything for that sucker. The moment I whipped out the suckers Morgan acted like a professional baby model...(Okay maybe I am stretching it just a little!) She really was all smiles and took great pictures from that point on. I think their picture turned out adorable!!!

Awe...what cutie pies! :)

Alphabet Girl

Morgan has really been into the alphabet for the past few weeks. She loves her letter magnets and will play with them multiple times a day. I knew she could recognize and say the sound for some letters, but I wonder if she could recognize the other letters even though she couldn't say their sound yet. The past couple of days I've mixed up her letters and in random order asked her to find each letter. I say the letter and then the sound the letter makes. Each time she has correctly identified 23 out of 26 letters! YEA!! She gets confused on Z, Y, and N. She usually identifies those three correctly by the second or third try. I'm so proud of our "Alphabet Girl!" :)
