Morgan's 3 1/2

Our big girl is already 3 1/2!  I took the above pictures a few weeks ago and saved them for this post.  I remember telling Andy how she is looking so BIG!  I see a preschooler now...no longer a toddler.  Of course, she will always be my baby/little girl no matter how big she gets.

Morgan has been busy since she turned 3 in April.
Some highlights...
She went tubing at the lake and fishing. (She caught her first fish this summer too!)
This summer we went to the beach and she swam in the ocean for the fist time. 
She continues to blossom in academics.  She can write..."Morgan, Mom, and Hi!"  She loves making patterns, sorting, and working in her preschool work books.  She enjoys writing letters and numbers. Morgan is also showing an interest in wanting to read. 
She can say the Pledge of Allegiance, our meal prayer..."Bless Us Oh Lord," and bedtime prayer..."Angel of God"
She LOVES coloring and can actually color in the lines.
She is still an outside girl and loves to ride her scooter, tricycle, swim, and play on her swing set.
Morgan enjoys cooking and baking.
She is very determined and can be a perfectionist.
Luckily she is pretty easy to reason with and listens well to directions.
She is also tender hearted.
In a new place she can be shy.  Once she warms up she can be quite the entertainer.
Morgan has been in a tap/ballet/tumbling combo class since June.
She loves to sing, dance, and use her imagination.
She LOVE pink and anything princess!!
Morgan calls herself "mommy's shadow."  She likes to be close to her mama all the time. :)
She give the best hugs and always shows concern for others.

We are truly blessed that God chose us to be Morgan's parents. 
We love you Morgan Jane!!!

Mackenzie is 7 months

Happy 7 months sweet girl!

 Who would have thought I would be taking her 7 month picture outside at the end of October and she is in a short sleeve onesie.  We are LOVING this weather!

 Love these last two pictures!  She started grabbing the hat and she was determined to take it off.  Love her expressions!

Highlights from the past month...

You now have 6th teeth!!  You have done great with teething considering you have been getting 6 teeth in just two and a half months.  It has messed with your nights and you have been waking more frequently.

Crawling...crawling and more crawling!  You are everywhere!  You especially move fast when you see somthing that belongs to your sister!

You are in 9-12 month clothes.  I have had to use onesie extenders because you are too long for some of the onesies.

You still wear a size 3 diaper.

I am guessing you are around 20 pounds.

You enjoy walks and love to be outside.

We introduce you to the swing set.  You love to swing!

You are really strong.  Your favorite hobby and security blanket is you mama's hair.  You pull my hair so hard and you insist on holding it when you go to sleep in my arms.

You take two naps a day and ocassionally a third ( mini nap) if you are in the car or on a walk.

You go to bed around 7pm and wake around 7am.

You love to jump in your Jump a Roo.

You enjoy books...especially to chew on.  You like to feel books with textures.

You are really enjoying food.  You have liked everything we have given you so far.  Last night you tried pineapple and loved it!

You continue to be a chatter box.  I have noticed you will do a happy scream/squeal when you want attention.

You prefer mama to put you to bed.  You also don't like it when I leave a room and you like me to hold you a lot!

You have stranger anxiety at times.

You are trying to pull yourself up from laying down to a sitting postion.

You love to smile, giggle and are so easy to love on!

Appreciate

Tonight Morgan asked what "appreciate" means.  I told her it means to be thankful.  She then said, "Mom I appreciate you helping with my school party and making the craft for my class."  (Next week is her Halloween party at school and I am the room parent.  Morgan has been really excited for me to help with the party.) 

I love this girl!  She has a heart of gold!

Beautiful Evenings

 We've had some great fall nights.  We've done a ton of grilling and stayed on the back deck until the sun sets.  We are soaking in these warm days before the cold weather.

Family Fun Day!

 This picture makes me laugh.  Mackenzie is already trying to take the "spotlight."  Look how her hand covers up half of Morgan's face.

Since Andy's work schedule is not your typical 9-5 we are blessed to have lots of "family fun days."  We've enjoyed some great weather in September and October and we've done a lot of outdoor family activities.  Andy said he thinks it's the best fall weather we have had in years.  I agree.  We enjoyed taking the girls mini golfing and for pizza a few weeks ago.  Morgan had a blast!  It was a great day!

What a face!

I was downstairs the other day talking to my grandparents on the phone.  Andy and the girls were upstairs playing so I could talk to them without a lot of backgorund noise and distractions.  Twenty minutes later I came up stairs to my baby dressed up in hair bows and jewlery.  Her face cracked me up!  Andy and Morgan had "dressed up" Mackenzie. She's not looking to thrilled! :)

Princess Morgan

Morgan loves being a princess each day around the house.  She is always dressing up with all of her dresses, fancy shoes, and jewelry.  I love that she always says, "Daddy is my Prince Charming!"

Pumpkin Patch!

Morgan enjoyed her first preschool field trip last week.  It was to the pumpkin patch.  The weather was perfect!  She really enjoyed the hayride, digging for fossils, petting the animals, playing in the playground, and of course picking the perfect pumpkin!  It was such a fun day with our sweet girls!
