Mackenzie 2 1/2

Our sweet, laid back girl is 2 1/2!!  Mackenzie is our little comedian.  She is always making us laugh!  Lately she loves to make silly faces at the dinner table, in the car, while posing for a picture, and just about anywhere.  She is still very laid back.  She goes to bed every night easily and still takes a 2 hour nap everyday.  Mackenzie is still in her crib and has never tried to climb out.  Yay!  I am hoping to keep her in her baby bed until the spring.  She's still quite picky when it comes to mealtime.  She doesn't like a lot of sweets.  Most of the time she passes on having them. She's obsessed with anything Dora!  She also loves wearing her ballerina outfit everyday...all day long!  She loves to cuddle and wants to be doing anything her big sister is doing.  Mackenzie really enjoys puzzles and books.  She also started enjoying her scooter and tricycle outside.  She loves using her imagination and plays really well independently.  We also just started gymnastics and she LOVES it!

Mackenzie your sweet laid back personality is a joy to be around!  We LOVE YOU!!
Always dressing up and playing pretend!

God's Plan...

We've all had moments in life where we think things are going to go a certain way.  Then God whispers in your ear..."I have another plan for you."  It's not always the plan we envisioned.  It may not even be the plan we thought we hoped for.  Once we give HIM the power to guide us we realize this is exactly where we were meant to be.
Our sweet Morgan had difficulties adjusting in her kindergarten class. We could discuss a number of factors.  Sitting in a classroom for 7 hours a day, bored, to many kids in the class, missing her family, a teacher who didn't understand Morgan's needs and on and on. But, I'm  not going to get into the details. Four weeks into school Andy and I knew that "traditional" kindergarten wasn't working for Morgan.  We have said all the "what if" questions...Maybe a smaller school? Maybe a school that let's you pray and talk about God? Maybe a school with a warm/loving environment?
Four weeks into school we pulled Morgan out of the public school.  We took a week off to talk, pray, and look into our options for Morgan.  We decided homeschooling would be the best for her. Within a week of homeschooling Morgan, her spirit started coming back! She LOVES homeschooling!! It has actually been a blessing to our family!
I am thankful for hearing God whispering in my ear.  It took me a few weeks to really hear him, but I know we are on the right path now.
I've had friends and family ask, "What will next year look like?"  I can honestly say, I haven't a clue.  I have grown and learned from this experience too.  I have always been a planner.  I have realized planning what will happen 10+ months from now is silly.  Can we have goals and dreams to look toward the future?  Absolutely!  And we are doing that as a family.  :)
Thank you to those who will pray and support us as we continue this new journey!
