Morgan's Reading!!

We've hit a big milestone in our house.  Morgan is now reading!!!  She has already conquered 5 books tonight!  She is loving every moment and doesn't want to stop.  I hope this love for reading continues through life.  We are so proud of her!!!!!  Thanks to my sister for giving us some beginner books last week.  I decided to pull them out tonight and see if Morgan could read any of them.  After practicing with one book everything seemed to click for her.  The next few books she read, she needed little or no help at all.  Such a fun milestone to hit!

Mackenzie 22 Months!

You love to wear boots.  You decided to run for it while I was changing your diaper. :)

We love our joyful toddler!!  You have become our little comedian around the house.  Always laughing and trying to get us to laugh too!!  You are so shy and quiet in public places, such as the library and music class.  At home I describe you as loud, laughing, climbing, a dancing machine, and playing great independently.  You love to run around the house and always want piggy back rides.  You are following in your sisters foot steps and you love to color, learn about letters and their sounds.  You love electronics and always want to play with my iPhone.  That has caused a few tantrums when you don't get your way.  You still love baby dolls, books, and Dora.  You have such a sweet laid back personality.  You love for me to snuggle and hold you.

Gymnastic Field Trip

What a hoot!!  This is Mackenzie's "new" thing.  When she acts shy this is her body language.  Morgan's teacher was trying to talk to Mackenzie.  HA!!  Mackenzie, not the best impression to give your future preschool teacher.  Luckily, she loves Mrs. Howerton and is usually more friendly towards her.

Morgan's preschool studies healthy habits in January.  What's better than a field trip to GAGE to run, jump, bounce, and climb!?!?  Sounds like a perfect excuse to get the kids moving and have fun while exercising.  Mackenzie had a lot of fun with the big kids on the field trip too!

Mackenzie 20 & 21 Months!

Our ever busy toddler is so much fun!!
Here is a little bit about what she's been up to lately...

• Size 2 T clothes, size 6 shoe
• Size 5 diaper
• Her two bottom 2 year old molars are in...not sure about the top.  It's dangerous sticking my finger into her mouth. ;)
• Loves letters!  She is starting to identify and know the sounds of some of her letters.  A, M, O, X, B, C, H are a few she knows.
• Likes to count...1...2...over and over.  Maybe someday she'll say 3. :)
• She loves songs and likes me to sing as she does the actions to Ittsy Bittsy Spider, If you Happy and You know it, Twinkle Twinkle, Patty Cake.
• Still in her picky toddler eating phase.
• Sleeps awesome!  Bedtime 8pm- wakes around 6:30am.  Takes a two hour nap in her bed and then most days sleeps another 1-2 hours on me after she wakes from her bed.
• She goes down so easy for naps and bedtime.
• She can now jump!  I love how she barely gets her feet off the ground.  She is so proud!
• Loves to walk around the house backwards!
• Always wanting piggy back rides.
• Every morning ask for her hair up in a little sprout then says, "bow."
• Loves playing with match box cars, baby dolls, all electronics, and these little Dora figurines.
• Knows over 10 body parts
• Likes to wrestle her sister!
• Loves to play with big sister in her baby bed.  They like the blanket cave I make!
• She a big mama's girl!
• Still my snuggler!  She loves me to hold and cuddle her all the time.  (I am happy to cuddle her every minute of the day!)
• She's still laid back and happy the majority of the time.
• She loves music class and story time, but is very shy at class.  She sits quietly on my lap the whole time.  She claps and smiles while there, but doesn't participate too much.  Reminds me of Morgan doing the same thing at this age.
• She's talking more all the time.  A few things she is saying that I can remember off the top of my head.  Mo Mo (Morgan), night-night, more, elmo, monk monk (monkey) duck, one, two, no, hello, bye, all, book, ball, uh-oh, rock, bubble, poo, bow, I want, wah-wah (water), bath.
• She still follows Morgan around all day long.

Can I freeze time so she will stop growing up so fast???
