First Haircut

Mackenzie finally had her first haircut!  She did great and was so excited.

Olympic Night

The ice rink had a special Olympic night in honor of the 2014 winter games.  Morgan signed up for 3 events...longest one leg glide, longest two foot glide, and touch your toes glide.

She won first in two of the events and tied for first in the third.  All the kids got medals and had the opprotunity to take pictures on the "Olympic Podium!"  At the end of the night the skaters did a couple of laps to Olympic music waving the American flag. It was a fun night!

 

Father Daughter Dance 2014!

Morgan and her Daddy had a wonderful time at their first daddy/daughter dance.  They went out first for a special dinner.  Then enjoyed snacks and dancing at the dance.  Morgan loved getting dressed up and her Daddy surprising her with a pink corsage! Next year, Andy will get to take both his girls! :)  Mackenzie and I had fun over at Courtney's with the little kids while all the the daddy's took the big girls to the dance

BRRRRR!!! It's cold outside!

It's been a very cold and long winter!!  We've had some snow storms, but the temperaturs have been so cold. Lots of windchills below zero. In fact one night the windchill was -20.

We have been out a few times when the temperature is above zero.  We only last 10-15 minutes.  We deccided to bring the snow inside to play with and make snow ice cream. :)

Activities

 The girls started taking Gymnastics in October.  We finished up at the end of January.  Morgan had begged to take gymnastics for a year. Once she was actually in the class she found it to be pretty boring.  Lots of waiting in line to walk on the balance beam or take a turn on the bars.  Mackenzie's class was an open gym style class.  We felt for the money it was much more economical to just go to open gym instead of the class.

Morgan's passion has become ice skating.  She LOVES it!!! She started in October and is doing awesome!  She is quickly moving through the next level at the end of each five week session.

Princesses!

Our local communtiy center hosted a Princess Day!  The girls had fun dressing up and doing arts and crafts, games, painting their nails, and even a cupcake. :)
